Nascar Busch Series Has a Date in Montreal

I first mentioned the possibility of a Busch series race in Canada here, and it looks like they have a date set in Montreal, at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve racetrack. The race will be August 4, the day before the cup race in Pocono and it takes the place of the Busch race in Martinsville. This will also take the number of road course races to three.

This has been one of Nascar’s goals for awhile now, to get coverage all over North America and to have races throughout, now, anyone in North America will be able to sit home and watch a Nascar race, which will be a big boost for ratings. Nascar has drawn more and more Canadian fans to the northernmost races, such as Chicago, Michigan, New Hampshire and Watkins Glenn, and as a matter of fact, the Daytona 500 was the most watched race on Canadian tv this season.

Wonder how many Busch Whackers will make the race north of the border?
