Newcomer or Old Timer?

Found this article called Field of Dreams in which the writer asks,

With five newcomers – Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Kasey Kahne – the 10-member Chase is evenly cleaved between those with experience in the postseason and those without under the new format. But does it really matter?

Gun to your head, would you take one of the aforementioned five to hold the trophy over one in the formidable quintet of Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr.?

I’ll take Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon over all of them any day of the week. Sure, Harvick is hot and he’s got a great chance to win it, Kahne has the most wins this year, Gordon has done that before and not won the chase, so that’s not really a factor, Kyle Busch is also doing great as is Denny Hamlim, but over the course of ten races, the old timers will end up beating the young guns, and I bet we see at least 3 of them in the top five at the end.
