Stewart Wins at Texas

Stewart wins in Texas
I bet all ten of the Chase for the Cup drivers are glad Tony Stewart didn’t make it, because he is tearing it up recently, winning two races in a row now and pretty much dominating the whole race in Texas. On almost every restart he would jump out to a good lead and just keep extending it, Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson had a little something for him, but not too and not for long. Tony led 278 laps out of the 334 and was in a race of his own, yet even while he was in the lead, he was still searching for better lines and having fun. Stewart has led 424 laps in the last two races, and did his signature fence climb after the end. Stewart had this to say,

“I thought we had the perfect car all day,” Stewart said. “It was just an unbelievable day. I’ve been racing for 27 years and I can count on my hands the number of times I’ve had a car like that.” Source: Nascar.com

Jimmie Johnson captured the points lead, leaving Texas 17 points in front of Matt Kenseth. Jeff Burton had the misfortune of a tire blowing which caused him to hit the wall, he ended up finishing 38th. Here are the top ten finishers,

1. Tony Stewart

4. Kyle Busch
5. Clint Bowyer
6. Dale Earnhardt Jr.
