Brad Keselowski is an Idiot
by webmaster on Sep.26, 2009, under Denny Hamlin, Dover, Nationwide Series, Videos
In case you missed the end of the Nationwide series race today, which Clint Bowyer won by the way, Denny Hamlin called Brad Keselowski an idiot after his remarks on what happened on the track today as Brad wrecked Denny.
I think we have a rivalry growing here, check out the video below, which has Brad’s comments that made Denny call him an idiot, and it also has a little run in they had in Charlotte.
It looked to me like Brad just took him out, so it will be interesting to see what happens in the future, I think Denny is smarter than to try something during the Chase, but you never know.
Here are the points standings after todays race:
1. — Kyle Busch 4,549 —
2. — Carl Edwards 4,338 -211
3. — Brad Keselowski 4,252 -297
4. — Jason Leffler 3,749 -800
5. +1 Steve Wallace 3,259 -1,290
6. -1 Justin Allgaier 3,240 -1,309
7. — Jason Keller 3,125 -1,424
8. +1 Mike Bliss 3,120 -1,429
9. -1 Brendan Gaughan 3,063 -1,486
10. — Michael McDowell 2,978 -1,571

Stewart Wins First Nationwide Series Race at Daytona
by webmaster on Feb.17, 2008, under Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kyle Busch, Nationwide Series, Nationwide Series News, Tony Stewart
Tony Stewart won the Busch Nationwide race today in Daytona, beating Kyle Busch and, you guessed it, Dale Earnhardt Jr. at the end of the race, with Busch blocking Jr. to finish second. Kyle also came in second the night before in the truck series race, losing to Todd Bodine and driving past Johnny Benson for second. Appears tomorrow’s race is going to be a good one, with Kyle and Dale running so well every time they get in a car, they are going to be hard to beat.
Polesitter Tony Stewart repelled a strong challenge from teammate Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. to win the Camping World 300 Nationwide Series race Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.
Stewart surged to the lead on Lap 117 of 120 and stayed there as the rest of the field diced for position behind him. On the final lap, Busch blocked Earnhardt’s last-ditch attempt to improve his position and all but assured the victory for Stewart, who crossed the finish line .259 seconds ahead of Busch, with Earnhardt .412 seconds back.
Brian Vickers ran fourth, followed by Matt Kenseth, rookie Bryan Clauson, Greg Biffle, Denny Hamlin, David Ragan and defending series champion Carl Edwards. Source: Stewart starts, finishes first in N’wide season-opener
Kyle Busch Wins Winn-Dixie 250 in Daytona
by webmaster on Jul.07, 2007, under Daytona, Nationwide Series

Kyle Busch picked up his first win in Daytona this morning in the rain delayed Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway, leading the most laps and making it look easy at the end. Dave Blaney finished third after finishing second in this years other Busch race at Daytona, right after Kevin Harvick who finished second, Tony Stewart fourth and Clint Bowyer finished fifth.
Kyle could’ve won the Busch race at Daytona in February, and could’ve won the 500 the next day, but both races ended up with him finishing poorly, as fuel problems ended his day in the Busch race, and being in the big wreck in the 500, that Kevin Harvick won in one of Nascar’s controversial calls this year. This is bound to help Kyle Busch make even more money next year when he gets picked up by whichever team is going to get him, especially if he runs well in tonights Pepsi 400.

Bobby Labonte Wins Busch Series race at Talladega
by webmaster on Apr.28, 2007, under Bobby Labonte, Nationwide Series, Tony Stewart
Bobby Labonte pushed Tony Stewart to the front, and then passes for the win with about 200 yards to go in the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Motor Speedway. It was definitely a good day for Kevin Harvick as well, he only finished sixth, but he is the owner of both Tony’s and Bobby’s race cars, making them teammates once again, if only in the Busch Series.
NASCAR waved the green flag again for the overtime finish at the start of Lap 119 and Labonte, who restarted seventh, moved in behind Stewart, who was fifth, and the two Chevrolets, both owned by Harvick, worked in tandem shooting to the front.
Both zoomed past Mears by the end of the first green-flag lap and Labonte just kept pushing Stewart, giving the two lead cars a big margin over Mears. Labonte bided his time on the final lap around the 2.66-mile oval until he came off Turn 4.
At that point, he slipped up the banking and moved alongside Stewart, with the two cars nearly touching. As they neared the finish line, Labonte nosed ahead. His engine, which was overheating badly on the final two laps after he banged into the rear of Harvick’s car, blew as he crossed the finish line with steam wafting from under his hood.
“I just had a run on Tony,” Labonte said. “I just stayed glued to his rear bumper. This is cool. The motor just blew up. It was pegged at 240 [degrees] the last two laps.” Source: Labonte passes teammate Stewart to win at Talladega
Here is the video of the crash on lap 26 when Tony Stewart got into the back of Kyle Busch. Pretty ugly wreck, but he just jumps out at the end.
Kenseth Wins the O’Reilly 300
by webmaster on Apr.14, 2007, under Matt Kenseth, Nationwide Series
Matt Kenseth wins the O’Reilly 300 today in the Busch Series, with Carl Edwards, the Busch series points leader, finishing third to extend his points lead to a whopping 403 points. Kenseth kept the car off the wall and went a lap down, but fought back and got his lap back on lap number 80, and overtook Denny Hamlin with 9 laps to go for the win. Here are the top five finishers:
1. Matt Kenseth
2. Denny Hamlin
3. Carl Edwards
4. Casey Mears
5. David Ragan

Results of the Sam’s Town 300 Busch Series Race
by webmaster on Mar.11, 2007, under Jeff Burton, Nationwide Series
The top 8 finishers in the Busch Series race at Las Vegas are all Cup regulars, I bet it gets on the Busch Series drivers nerves, but I believe it is part of the reason that Jeff Burton, Mark Martin, and especially Kevin Harvick did so well last year in the Nextel Cup. My guess is at least 5 of those drivers, maybe 6 or 7, will be in the top 10 in the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 in Las Vegas Sunday, along with Jeff Gordon that is.

Montoya Spins Pruett, Wins Telcel-Motorola 200
by webmaster on Mar.04, 2007, under Mexico, Nationwide Series
I didn’t get to see the race, my boy was in the league championship basketball game, but, Juan Montoya won his first Nascar Busch series race in Mexico. Juan had the dominant car all day long, but ended up spinning out his teammate, Scott Pruett, to take the lead, after a bad pitstop mired them in 19th place. Juan fought his way back to 2nd before spinning Pruett out, who called it a low down and dirty move.
Pruett was clearly upset.
“Of all the people to take you out — your teammate,” Pruett said. “That was just lowdown, nasty, dirty driving.”
Hamlin, right behind the two Chip Ganassi Racing drivers at the time, said it was a tough call.
“I wouldn’t call it dirty driving, but it was a bit aggressive,” Hamlin said. “Juan had the fastest car and he would have taken the lead sooner or later. He was overzealous.” Source: Montoya spins Pruett, wins Mexico NBS race
Here are the top ten finishers:
1. Juan Montoya
2. Denny Hamlin
3. Boris Said
4. Carl Edwards
5. Scott Pruett
6. Jason Leffler
7. Jorge Goeters
8. Marcos Ambrose
9. Adrian Fernandez
10. Jon Wood
Oh, my boy’s team lost, but they beat the number 1 seed before losing in the championship game.
