Kurt Busch Wins 33rd Bud Shootout

There I was, laying on the couch, enjoying the 33rd running of the Bud Shootout at Daytona, Earnhardt Jr was wrecked by Regan Smith or Carl Edwards and they had a couple long commercials and I feel alseep. Daggonit. I missed the rest of the race, but, apparently, Kurt Busch was ruled the winner after Denny Hamlin passed by crossing the yellow line.

Here is how they finished:
1 – 22 Kurt Busch
2 – 1 Jamie McMurray
3 – 39 Ryan Newman
4 – 48 Jimmie Johnson
5 – 16 Greg Biffle
6 – 24 Jeff Gordon
7 – 29 Kevin Harvick
8 – 31 Jeff Burton
9 – 33 Clint Bowyer
10 – 47 Bobby Labonte
11 – 14 Tony Stewart
12 – 11 Denny Hamlin
13 – 17 Matt Kenseth

16 – 18 Kyle Busch
17 – 5 Mark Martin
18 – 20 Joey Logano
19 – 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr.
20 – 42 Juan Montoya
21 – 99 Carl Edwards
22 – 78 Regan Smith
23 – 97 Kevin Conway

Chase Field is Set, Who is Your Pick

The field is set and ready to go for Loudon this weekend.

1 Mark Martin 5040
2 Tony Stewart 5030
3 Jimmie Johnson 5030
4 Denny Hamlin 5020
5 Kasey Kahne 5020
6 Jeff Gordon 5010
7 Kurt Busch 5010
8 Brian Vickers 5010
9 Carl Edwards 5000
10 Ryan Newman 5000
11 Juan Montoya 5000
12 Greg Biffle 5000

Whose your pick and why?

I’m going with Gordon of course, he has been pretty consistent this year, the chase races aren’t typically his best but I think they can do it this year. He would be going for his 7th title under the old point system, but I guess I’ll get over that one day. All he needs is to run up front the first few races and return to dominating at Fontana, Charlotte, Martinsville and Talladega, that’s not much to ask, is it?
